Compressor Valve Components
Compressor Valve Components made from ArlonŽ, Greene, Tweed's high-performance thermoplastic, surpass components constructed from nylon, metal or other thermoplastics in all performance measures relative to MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure). Designed with an optimum combination of mechanical, thermal and chemical properties, Greene, Tweed Compressor Valve Components improve resistance to fatigue, wear, impact and abrasion, provide excellent corrosion resistance, and offer a low coefficient of thermal expansion.

ARLONŽ vs. NYLON
• Higher Temperature capability (typically 100-200°F higher)
• Higher impact strength
• Hydrolysis resistance 16 times better than Nylon
• Superior chemical resistance
• Greatly reduced coefficient of thermal expansion

ARLONŽ vs. METAL
• Excellent resistance to sour gas and hydrogen - media that embrittles metallics
• Conforms to irregularities in mating surfaces
• Excellent impact resistance allows for greater valve lift
• Fractured metal components can damage cylinder bores - Arlon will not
• Arlon can absorb metal fragments that will often fracture metal rings

MATERIALS
• ArlonŽ
