Chemraz® perfluoroelastomers (FFKM) feature broad-spectrum chemical resistance, withstanding acids, ethers, aromatics and other corrosive media to extend MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and reduce maintenance. Chemraz seals have exceptional compression set, providing a wide operating band; service temperature ranges from -40°F to 600°F (-40°C to 315°C).
Xyfluor® elastomers are highly fluorinated, providing excellent chemical resistance with low-temperature capability. Xyfluor withstands aggressive media such as sour gasses and steam, and maintains sealing integrity in temperatures as low as -76°F (-60°C). In particular, it outperforms comparable FKM and FQMV elastomers in applications with high H2S and CO2 content.
MSE® lips seals feature a PTFE sealing device energized by a corrosion-resistant metal spring. The spring is under compression when seated in the gland, applying force to the gland surface to create a tight barrier. Typically used in applications with pressures over 80 bar, the MSE seal maintains integrity in high or low pressure, and in non-ideal situations such as gland misalignment.
In addition to sealing solutions, our WR® and AR® thermoplastic composites provide long life and enhanced performance in wet mechanical seals. As backup rings, they resist wear and impact for extended MTBF. And as bushings, they run 50% tighter clearances and won’t gall or seize, avoiding unplanned shutdowns and reducing total cost of ownership.
