Between Bearing

WR® and AR® thermoplastic composite wear rings and throat bushings improve safety, reliability and performance in Between Bearings Pumps. Because they run with tighter clearances than traditional materials, pressure around the impeller can be increased, improving shaft stability and reducing system vibration. Less shaft deflection means a longer life for mechanical seals and decreases fatigue on other components. In addition, tighter clearances reduce recirculation, lowering NPSHR (Net Positive Suction Head Required) and boosting pump efficiency.

Other reliability improvements include better performance at start-up due to WR and AR’s non-galling, non-seizing properties. For enhanced safety, they will not spark or cause collateral damage during upsets, and they reduce the risk of catastrophic failure. Compounds have been developed to handle a wide range of temperatures, pressures and media, making WR and AR suitable for a variety of applications.
