In Between Bearings Multistage Pumps, WR® and AR® wear rings and bushings improve performance, enhance reliability and ensure safety. Running tighter clearances than traditional materials, WR and AR wear parts reduce sag by increasing pressure around the impeller and stabilizing the shaft. Improved shaft stiffness lessens fatigue on mechanical seals and other components, extending MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure). Reduced clearances also minimize recirculation, lowering NPSHR (Net Positive Suction Head Required) and boosting pump efficiency.

In addition to enabling tighter clearances, WR and AR wear parts will not seize or gall during start-up. For enhanced safety, they will not spark or cause damage to surrounding hardware, and they decrease the risk of catastrophic failure. With compounds developed to withstand a range of temperatures, pressures and media, materials are available to suit any application.
