Sustainability Vision

We strive to manufacture sustainable products through a combination of innovative designs to enhance exemplary ESG performance. This commitment informs every aspect of our business, including how we design and build new products; operate our company; collaborate with stakeholders; and report progress. In fact, in 2023, we committed to using objective metrics to measure our efforts in achieving our sustainability goals and received an assessment rating from EcoVadis. Based on this assessment, we immediately commissioned a core team with a sizeable budget to drive initiatives that will facilitate the achievement of our sustainability vision, including achieving ISO 14001 certification in the UK by June 2024 and expanding to other plants thereafter.

We are dedicated to minimizing our environmental footprint throughout our operations. We aim to reduce energy consumption, water usage, and waste generation. We continuously explore innovative manufacturing techniques and invest in research and development to engineer sustainable materials and processes. By promoting the efficient use of resources, we aim to contribute to a greener future.

To support a net-zero carbon economy, Greene Tweed promotes the use of renewable energy sources and upstream recycling with reduced waste to landfills to help protect the environment. We annually measure our greenhouse gas emissions and report them to the Carbon Disclosure Project. To help reduce our carbon footprint, we instituted solar energy installation and LED lighting conversion, and installed rubber press insulation blankets, tankless water heaters, occupancy sensors, and rubber press piping insulation.

We instituted a Corporate Social Responsibility Policy that ensures Greene Tweed consistently and continuously employs appropriate measures to counteract bribery, human trafficking, modern slavery, conflicts of interest, cyber-terrorism, and supply chain weaknesses.
