Greene Tweed Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for Texas
Greene Tweed has significant manufacturing facilities in Houston, TX and Selma, TX, employing hundreds of workers. These workers manufacture and deliver precision-engineered plastic and rubber products which are needed for the energy, semiconductor, aerospace, and health sciences industries to make and deliver their goods without which the world economy would come to a halt. Earlier today, the judges for Harris and Bexar counties – which include the cities of Houston and Selma respectively — ordered all “non-life sustaining businesses” to close as of 11:59 pm CT on March 24, 2020 in response to the COVID-19 crisis. The orders specifically exempted critical sites such as the Greene, Tweed facilities in Texas from this order and in fact recognizes the vital role they play. Both sites remain open and in full operation to deliver products crucial to the global economy.
Greene Tweed continues to monitor the situation and will comply with local government regulations that affect our global facilities.
