Greene Tweed Appoints Jenna Pellecchia Walker to Succeed as General Counsel
Current General Counsel Paul O’Brien will Retire Next Year
Lansdale, PA - Greene Tweed, a leading global manufacturer of high-performance sealing solutions and engineered components, announces the appointment of Jenna Walker to succeed Paul O’Brien as the organization’s General Counsel. Paul has decided to retire after leading the organization through all legal matters for 20 years. Following the comprehensive transition during which Jenna and Paul will work closely, Jenna will assume all responsibilities as Greene Tweed’s General Counsel and Secretary on July 1, 2023. Paul O’Brien will be appointed as Special Counsel until his retirement in early 2024 as he supports the transition.
“I am excited to join the Greene Tweed team. Greene Tweed has a history of innovation and incredible potential for growth. I look forward to helping drive that growth through increased legal efficiencies, intellectual property, and licensing, and I am eager to work as a partner with the business on a day-to-day basis,” says Jenna.
Jenna joins Greene Tweed from Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. and its affiliate Taro Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where she served as Director of Legal Affairs and Transactions. Prior to Sun/Taro, Jenna worked in private practice at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, a top global firm. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from Duke University and a Juris Doctorate from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law. Throughout her career, Jenna has represented global companies in multi-billion-dollar, complex litigations; led negotiations of strategic in- and out-licensing deals and acquisitions valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars; and advised her clients on wide-ranging, daily legal issues.
At Greene Tweed, Jenna will be the strategic counsel on all legal matters, ranging from commercial contracts and negotiations to intellectual property, litigation, M&A, licensing, employment, and corporate development. As the company’s General Counsel, Jenna is a member of the executive leadership team and reports directly to Greene Tweed CEO, Magen Buterbaugh. With an illustrious career spanning more than 10 years of legal experience in private practice and as in-house counsel across multiple industries, Jenna brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Greene Tweed.
“This transition marks an exciting chapter for Greene Tweed. I extend my best wishes to Paul as he transitions into a well-deserved retirement and am excited to welcome Jenna to our executive leadership team. I have full confidence in Jenna’s abilities to navigate complex legal landscapes and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration while mitigating risks for the company,” says Magen Buterbaugh, CEO of Greene Tweed.
As Paul prepares for his retirement, he will work closely with Jenna to facilitate a smooth transition. “I am immensely grateful for Paul’s unwavering commitment to Greene Tweed and the family ownership. For over 20 years he has provided top-notch strategic guidance, resource coordination and legal counsel. His insights, business acumen and ability to manage risk have played a significant role in the growth of Greene Tweed and our other associated entities,” says Allon Bloch, chairman of Greene Tweed.
